Premier’s Youth Initiative

Platform is the lead agency, in partnership with Mission Australia and Link Wentworth Housing. The Premier’s Youth Initiative (PYI) provides support and accommodation assistance to young people leaving statutory out-of-home care (OOHC), who are identified as being vulnerable to experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness on exit from care. Referrals are made directly via DCJ.
The program aims to build the long-term capacity and resilience of young people to permanently divert them from the homelessness service system. Platform delivers the PYI program in the Nepean, Hawkesbury and Blue Mountains regions partnership with Mission Australia and Wentworth Housing.
