Make Contact
A young person or their representative can contact our staff by one of the above methods. We collect basic contact information and determine the type of support that’s needed.
Initial Assessment
Based on the information provided, one of our workers will follow up with you to conduct an assessment interview either face to face or on the phone to gather more information and work out your goals.
As part of the assessment, we will also need to speak with people at other places you have lived or with other people who know you. We will seek your permission before doing this.
To find out more about your rights and how you can expect to be treated see our Client Charter
After Assessment
Once an assessment is complete, we will discuss the type of service we can offer. If we can’t meet your needs at Platform, we will work with you to connect with a service who can.
Emergency Accommodation
Emergency accommodation assessments will be completed during referral or initial contact. If you are a young person under 16 and have nowhere safe to stay we may have to involve other services to ensure your safety and that your needs are being met.
